Regent Assay advised on the disposal of Zirkon Limited to Stadium Group plc, an AIM listed business.

Zirkon, a Rugby based electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider since 1999, brings additional high technology market experience to Stadium Group including vast expertise in the industrial, instrumentation, security, medical and mobility sectors.

The Zirkon manufacturing operation, which employs 84 people and has an annual turnover exceeding £7 million, will continue under the Stadium Electronics trading name.

Guy Hemington, said:

“In our second deal in the EMS sector within a few weeks we have shown that, despite difficult conditions for corporate transactions, quality businesses are still attracting interest from well funded buyers. Whilst levels of activity are lower than a year ago Regent Assay is continuing to experience demand from sellers and buyers of businesses.”

Commenting on the deal, Kelvin Pass, Managing Director of Zirkon said:

“I am confident that we have found the right partner in Stadium. Under Stadium’s ownership the business will be able to progress through its next stage of development and I’m sure it will prosper with the synergies that the tie-up with Stadium will bring.”
