A physics graduate with first class honours from Imperial College, London, James qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse before serving as chief financial officer within a number of large US multinational corporations, generally with financial responsibility for operations throughout Europe
He was the Director of Finance at Data Logic and the Managing Director of Persona (later floated as ilion group plc). James joined Regent in 1991. He has been responsible for many deals including the sale of Venture Information Management to Sword Group; the sale of Spargonet to CACI; the sale of Tax Computer Systems to investors led by MXC Capital; the disposal of the UK Forest Division of Tieto (Finland) to Version 1 (Ireland); the disposal of ECRC (Germany) by Fujitsu to Cable & Wireless; the sale of Icom (UK) to Keane (USA); the disposal by Skillsgroup (UK) of Nordic Datadistribution (Sweden) to Atle (Sweden); the disposal of Fujitsu’s Medical Portfolio (UK) to Siemens Nixdorf (Germany); and the acquisition by Sage (UK) of KHK (Germany).
He speaks French, German, Swedish and Finnish.

Dolf has considerable experience in investment banking in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries. After an early career in strategic management consulting with The MAC Group, he joined Hambros Bank to focus on Mergers and Acquisitions. He then moved to the investment banking arm of WestLB, where he founded the Media & Telecommunications team and became Executive Director TMT Investment Banking.
Over the years Dolf has gained experience with a wide variety of transactions in the TMT sector including IPOs, secondary issues, Private Placements and Private Equity investments, in addition to Mergers & Acquisitions. He has worked with clients in many different segments of the TMT industry including, radio, television, film production and distribution, advertising, gaming, mobile apps, publishing, music, mobile marketing, social media, talent management, content marketing, Cable TV, telecommunications, telecoms technology, content management, navigation, Business Intelligence, retail technology, weather forecasting, travel technology, ERP, etc.
Dolf has a degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD. Apart from English, he is fluent in Dutch, German and French.

Hana has been involved in over 400 transactions advising companies on their M&A and strategic options spanning across 20 years. Hana manages now our business development focus, identifying and advising businesses to achieve their optimum potential.
Overseeing our research team, Hana ensures that we provide valuable sector insight on recent M&A deals and value drivers.
Hana is an Economics graduate from London University, a Postgraduate in Marketing from Kingston Business School, and an MBA from Henley Management College.

Guy has been in the corporate finance business for over 20 years acting as both adviser and principal. During this time he has worked at JP Morgan Chase, McKechnie PLC and KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was a partner in the M&A group.
He has advised a wide range of clients including PLCs, international companies, venture capitalists, owner managed businesses and management teams.

Outside of work, Guy is a keen tennis player and walker and plays in a charity rock band. He is a Director of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and as a regular visitor to the Far East has been involved in supporting a couple of charities in the region which support disadvantaged children.

Chris has enjoyed a 35 year career in the finance industry, including holding senior roles at Bank of Scotland, RBS and Barclays. An expert in Asset Based Lending, Chris has run his own debt advisory since 2008, during which time he has helped hundreds of businesses source finance from a wide variety of specialist funders. Outside of work Chris has a broad interest in music and attends as many gigs as he can, he is a keen golfer, and also a Wolves season ticket holder.

Oliver is an ACA qualified chartered accountant who qualified with PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets audit practice with stints in both London and Birmingham, he has experience working with some of the largest investment banks in the world.
Oliver has worked on numerous transactions ranging from Medical Device manufacturers through to high growth SaaS businesses.
He is a graduate of the prestigious PwC Flying Start Degree Programme at Newcastle University.
Originally from the Lake District, when not at work he is often found on the Golf Course or at the Hawthorns.

Neil has over 25 years experience providing Corporate Finance advice and funding to a range of clients with a focus on entrepreneurial growing businesses. Over this time he has advised clients from a range of sectors including Industrials, hospitality and leisure and consumer and retail as well as spending time as a Private Equity investor and debt provider. Having previously been a Midlands corporate finance partner at EY and KPMG he is well placed to leverage his experience to help entrepreneurial businesses achieve their growth and exit aspirations within the mid-market environment at Regent Assay.

Nick, is a Corporate Finance Analyst for Regent Assay and is responsible for assisting partners on M&A transactions .
He graduated with a BA (Hons) in Economics with International Finance and Banking from Nottingham Trent University.
Originally born in Copenhagen, In his spare time, Nick is keen on maintaining his physical fitness, playing tennis and trading currency pairs.

Eghosa born in the Edo State, Nigeria graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Business and Management from Aston University in Birmingham. She then successfully completed her MSc in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She joined the Regent Assay Marketing department as a business development and research analyst in 2021.
She enjoys R&B music, swimming, current affiars and travel.

Sahaja is our corporate finance analyst. She was born and raised in the South Indian city of Hyderabad and joined us after her MSc Business and Finance from Warwick BS.
Outside of work, you would usually find her cooking, swimming and travelling.

Mike has over 25 years experience providing corporate finance advice to a range of clients including UK listed companies, owner managers, private equity groups and MBO teams. Mike has particular expertise of advising transactions within the Human Capital Sector. Prior to joining Regent Assay, Mike held Director roles at Princedale Group plc, overseeing the acquisition of 30 companies, and at Deloitte Corporate Finance.

Pradip is an experienced investment banker within the technology sector. He has been responsible for a wide range of advisory work since joining Regent in 2000.
Pradip has completed numerous assignments including the recent divestment of AIControl Point (crisis and incident management software business) from Access Intellience Plc. to the Norwegian company, OneVoice, the sale of Widget (a European wearable technology distributer) to CMS Distribution, divestment of Due North (strategic sourcing software company), from Access Intelligence Plc. to Proactis Plc; sale of Crimsonwing Plc (ERP and eCommerce solutions specialising in Microsoft Dyanamics, Majento and Intershop) to KPMG; sale of Oasis Medical Solutions (EPR and PAS Software company) to Allscripts Medical Solutions Inc; sale of Altimate (enterprise systems distributor) to Arrow Electronics Inc., sale of PSCAL (financial management software company) to Civica; sale of Codework (security software distributor) to Altimate Group; divestment of IQ-Sys (virtualisation and network management distributor) from QA IQ to SCD, sale of Talisman Software S.A (IT resourcing) to Vedior, acquisition of Logan Orviss International (Telecoms Consulting) on behalf of Patni Computer Systems (now i-Gate), sale of Centia and AKS, (both pan European distributors of Network infrastructure products) to DNSint.com AG, and the reverse sale of Data Technology Group Plc (IT Services) into Innovise Plc. Pradip is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Brett is a Partner in Transaction team based out of London.
Brett leads the team responsible for renewable energy as well as the oil and gas sectors.
Brett draws from over 30 years as a senior figure in financial services. In 1988 Brett founded National Futures & Options and as Managing Director, was involved in product development and education for large institutional clients in the use and value of derivative instruments. The company was sold to Fleming Martin (later JP Morgan) and he joined the board as director in charge of derivative trading responsible for the firm’s broking and proprietary trading book. During this time, he was appointed to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) committee that developed the rules for the warrant market in South Africa.
Brett was also Managing Director of Brait Securities responsible for establishing the equity and derivative broking operations, institutional sales, futures and options broking and liaison with the corporate finance division in respect of listings, mergers and acquisitions and all JSE related matters. He was also involved in the founding of the futures exchange in South Africa and served on the board of the South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX) for a number of years serving as Deputy Chairman. He remains a broking member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
Brett relocated to the United Kingdom in 2005 and founded the CarbonDesk Plc which was the largest independent derivative broker when the carbon credit market was still buoyant.
Brett has an Honours degree in accounting from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

Chris is an experienced corporate finance adviser who joined Regent Assay in 2010 having qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC, spending time in the UK and New Zealand.
He has extensive experience of working successfully alongside private equity and owner-managed businesses and has acted on company acquisitions and disposals, MBOs and fund raisings. Past clients have included Vacuum Furnace Engineering, Corporate Risk Systems, Polyplas and Wealden & Eastbourne Lifeline.
Chris has also supported clients on their buy and build strategies, providing financial, strategic and operational guidance and currently sits on the board of an MRO business.

Chris has been part of the professional mentoring scheme at Aston University, which involves working one-to-one with second year business students, helping them prepare for their Placement Year.

Chris is also a keen runner and part of the Royal Sutton Coldfield Athletics Club. He regularly takes part in half- and full-marathons, attaining his personal best of 2hr58 at the London Marathon in 2013.

David has over 15 years of experience in advising management teams, private companies and public companies. Prior to joining Assay, he worked at Deloittes for 12 years in the Channel Islands, Moscow and Birmingham offices.
David has considerable experience in supporting clients with their buy and build strategies, working alongside them to develop business plans and growth strategies. A recent example being an electronics manufacturing company which has grown from 1 site and £8m t/o to 3 sites, including 1 overseas, and £35m t/o. Some other notable clients include Eriks/Wyko, University Hospital Birmingham, Paperchase and Aston Manor.

David is also a non-executive director of three clients of the firm. These businesses operate in a range of industries including healthcare, industrial and maintenance, repair and operations.
Outside of work, David is a keen racquet sports player and in 2016 was elected Chairman of the Edgbaston Priory Club (having been Treasurer since 2013). With a history dating back to 1875, the EPC is one of the UK’s premier racquets and lifestyle private members’ clubs. The club has approximately 3,000 members and is home to the Aegon Classic, a pre-Wimbledon ladies tournament, ranked in the top 25 Women’s tennis competitions in the world.
David has been Chair of Governors of Lozells Primary School for the last 6 years. In March 2015, an Ofsted report concluded that the school was outstanding in all areas.

Gary has extensive experience in business development and investing, primarily in the private equity sector. He worked as a Partner for Gresham Private Equity for 15 years, where they successfully led a buy-out of the business and subsequently raised over £650m across 2 funds.
Recently he has been a Business Development Director at LDC.
He was previously a member of PwC Corporate Finance team and has a broad international network and has served as a mentor for The Princes Trust. He has also served as a Royal Marine Commando.
